Posh frocks: Hollywood dresses up Leeds (VIDEO)

Textiles student Toni Giles, 25, makes final adjustments to a dress worn by Keira Knightley in The Duchess as the glamour of the silver screen arrived in Leeds.

Some of the most memorable film and television costumes are going on display at a new exhibition at Leeds City Museum.

It will feature a range of famous costumes including Orlando Bloom's outfit from Pirates of the Caribbean, Madonna's silk evening gown from Evita and the shirt made famous by Colin Firth following his lake dip in Pride and Prejudice.

Other famous items on display in the Heroes and Heroines exhibition

include current 007 Daniel Craig's clothing from Defiance and Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet's outfits from Finding Neverland. The exhibition opens today and runs until January 9 next year.
