Post Office to reopen on different site

A POST office in Shafton, north east of Barnsley, which was temporarily closed in February, is set to reopen at a new location on Monday, April 19.

Shafton Post Office was previously at 108 High Street but will now reopen as a "Post Office Local" service, for an initial period of 12 months, at the Costcutter shop, which is in the same road.

The new branch will offer a range of Post Office services, including stamps, the Post Office Card Account and banking and electronic bill and budget payment schemes. The opening hours will be Monday to Sunday, 6.30am to 9pm.

Post Office Ltd field change adviser Liz Morgan said: "We apologise to customers for any inconvenience the temporary closure has undoubtedly caused, but I'm sure they'll be delighted it will soon be business as usual again at their local branch."
