Poster appeal over missing prostitute

Police have launched a poster appeal to help trace a missing prostitute in Bradford.

Shelley Armitage, 31, was last seen between the late evening of April 26 and the early morning of the next day in Rebecca Street in the city centre.

Det Chief Insp Mark Ridley said her family and police were growing increasingly concerned for her welfare.

He said: "Shelley is a much loved daughter and sister and it is important we find her as soon as possible. We do know that she has been to Huddersfield before and are investigating any links she may have with the area."

Police do not believe there are any links between Ms Armitage's disappearance and that of Susan Rushworth, a 43-year-old Bradford prostitute who disappeared in June 2009.
