Potter play for festival performance

theatre company Paperzoo will make a return to the Burley-in-Wharfedale summer festival this month with their new performance of Dennis Potter’s play Blue Remembered Hills.

The play, which originally starred Helen Mirren and Colin Welland, was broadcast as part of the BBC’s Play for Today series in 1979, and festival fans will get the chance to see Paperzoo’s revival at the Queen’s Hall on August 24.

The Paperzoo performance will be followed by refreshments and an opportunity to hear local band The Stalks. The band are in the process of recording a new album and will be showcasing some new material during their festival appearance.
