PR milestone for Met

Leeds Metropolitan University is celebrating 20 years of delivering degree courses in public relations.

It was one of the first in the country to teach the subject at degree level and also has the UK's first professor of public relations. Prof Anne Gregory heads up the Centre for Public Relations Studies.

The degree course which was started in 1990 is now delivered from the university's Rose Bowl building in the city centre. Course leader Lucy Laville, said: "The BA Hons at Leeds Met is well known as one of the best PR degrees in Europe. We have 20 years worth of graduates who continue to support the course with guest lectures, prizes, placements and graduate jobs."
