Prepared for a jaw-dropping experience

CHILDREN with disabilities are being offered help to prepare for their visit to the national children’s museum Eureka! in Halifax with a new guide.

Claire Britten, 10, Max Webb, eight, and Harry Gibson, 10, were on hand for the launch of The Eureka! Story initiative.

Staff decided to create the guide to help youngsters – among them those with autism and other conditions – who may be hyper- sensitive to the sensory experiences on offer at the museum.

They worked with children from Cliffe Hill School in Lightcliffe, near Halifax, on the project to ensure the experience was captured as effectively and clearly as possible. Anyone who would like copies of the guide should email Eureka! for more information or download it online.
