Prescott to speak at networking event

The former Hull East MP will address delegates at the second Humber Expo, being held at the Freedom Centre in Preston Road.

The event is aimed at helping local organisations grow and prosper together and to encourage them to take advantage of the economic and business advice on offer.

It will showcase more than 50 exhibitors from a broad range of companies. Events throughout the day will include a speed networking session, business seminars and the chance to have a free business health check.

Event spokeswoman Sarah Weichardt said: “Many of the companies that exhibited last year gave us excellent feedback about the Humber Expo and expressed an interest in getting involved again this year.

“This year’s event will see Lord Prescott featuring as a keynote speaker. Lord Prescott will be using this opportunity to launch an exciting new project which he has been nurturing. The event couldn’t go ahead without the help and support of this year’s sponsors.”
