Prince gets a taste for school cooking

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall rolled and kneaded, covering their hands in the sticky mixture as they helped schoolchildren make a batch of buns. Prince Charles, patron of the Academy of Culinary Arts, and the Duchess were visiting St George's Primary School in London to see how a scheme to inform children about the "pleasures of eating" was working.

The Chefs Adopt A School programme aims to influence a new generation of food-lovers and home cooks by introducing pupils to "real" food and teaching them where ingredients come from. The Prince praised the scheme as of "huge importance".
