Prince Philip Centre greets its royal namesake

A charity that has been helping to improve lives in Leeds for decades welcomed back HRH the Duke of Edinburgh to the centre that bears his name yesterday to meet staff and members who are ensuring its work continues.

Prince Philip met up with craft workers Natalie Tharraleos, left, and Jo Brook accompanied by Mike Ball, right, the chairman of the Prince Philip Centre, as he toured the Prince Philip PHAB Club in Scott Hall Avenue which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. The PHAB, Physically Handicapped and Able Bodied, club offers a host of activities from education, crafts, sports, health and relaxation sessions as well as parties and trips away.
