Prince in top form on day of revelations

It was the question everyone wanted answering and could this woman from Bradford have been tipped the wink about the Royal wedding in this intimate chat with Prince Charles?

The Prince of Wales had everyone guessing after leaning over to talk to well-wisher Adele Chorley-Smith during a visit to the city yesterday – particularly when St James' Palace later ended national speculation about the date of his son's wedding.

Prince William will marry Kate Middleton on Friday, April 29, at Westminster Abbey, and the big day has been declared a public holiday.

Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, private secretary to Prince William, said the couple, who announced their engagement last week, chose Westminster Abbey for its "staggering beauty", 1,000-year Royal history and intimacy despite its size.

"The venue has long associations with the Royal Family – it is in many ways the Royal Family's church – and of course with Prince William personally. For Miss Middleton, the associations she has with the Abbey are quite simply the same as any British person would have for such a glorious and holy place."

The Abbey was also the venue of Prince William's mother's funeral. He walked behind the coffin of Diana, Princess of Wales in September 1997.
