Prize chance for popular parks
Parks across South Yorkshire, including Rotherham's Clifton Park, above, are in with a chance of winning a national award, and residents are being urged to support their favourite green space by voting for it online.
Nominations for the Green Flag Awards' People's Choice prize close at the end of the week, and the winners will be announced next month. The awards were launched in 1996 to recognise excellence in public park services and judge them on safety, security and maintenance. All parks put forward for the award must be free to enter.
