Probe after man dies in farm accident

Health and safety chiefs have launched an investigation after a man died at a North Yorkshire farm after being trapped under farming equipment.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene at a farm in Huby, near Easingwold, North Yorkshire, just after 6pm on Tuesday.

However, the man was pronounced dead at the scene by the ambulance service.

North Yorkshire Police officers carried out a full investigation at the scene of the incident and the Health and Safety Executive confirmed a probe had been launched.

The man was aged in his sixties, however, his full identity has yet to be released.
