Proms Spectacular at Castle Howard

CASTLE Howard has unveiled its line-up for its Proms Spectacular on Saturday, August 21, which also celebrates 10 years of the event.

Picnics will be held on the North Lawns as the English National Orchestra performs classics such as Cavalleria Rusticana, the Adagio from Spartacus, O Mio Babbino Caro, the theme from Harry Potter and many more.

As darkness falls "the Best of British" will feature Elgar's Nimrod and Walton's Crown Imperial as special effects light up the sky.

Flags and singing will follow as the orchestra launches into a huge finale of traditional Proms favourites, including Rule Britannia, Jerusalem, the 1812 Overture and Elgar's Pomp & Circumstance March No.1.
