£150,000 boost for rural footpaths

COMMUNITIES across the North York Moors are set to benefit from a new project to improve footpaths in the national park.

Nearly 150,000 is to be spent on the work by the North York Moors, Coast and Hills LEADER Programme and the National Park Authority to improve routes between 20 communities on the North York Moors.

The work will include new signs, better access for people with disabilities, new seating, and improved surface conditions and drainage along paths.
