£5.8m drive to revamp car park

Plans to repair and improve an ageing car park – which will serve events at the proposed Leeds Arena – will be discussed by councillors next week.

Leeds Council is proposing to spend around 5.8m refurbishing Woodhouse Lane multi-storey car park, which was built in 1968.

Essential concrete strengthening work will be carried out and a new stair and lift tower and pedestrian bridge will be built if the proposals are approved by the council’s executive board.
