£6m stable for visitors
Derelict stableyards at Hardwick Hall, near Chesterfield, are to be converted into a new £6.6m visitor centre.
The improvements at the Elizabethan hall will give a bigger shop, a new restaurant and meeting rooms, all built using green technology. The facilities are set to open in 2012.
