'Psychic' guide dogwins top honour
A guide dog able to sense when people are about to fall ill has been named Guide Dog of the Year.
Gino, a three-year-old Labrador-retriever cross, alerted a bus driver by barking moments before a passenger suffered a seizure and spotted that a diabetic’s blood sugar was low even though she was unaware.
His owner, Paralympian judo player Maxine Ingram, 29, from south Wales, accompanied Gino to the London award ceremony.
