Pub has reason to cheer
A PUB which called time last month is to reopen its doors this week after being rescued by one of its neighbours – a brewery.
The Half Moon at Pool-in-Wharfedale is facing a brighter future after the WharfeBank Brewery, which is less than half a mile away, helped out.
Brewery chief Martin Kellaway said: “We’re delighted to have been able to step in and save this pub from closure.

WharfeBank Brewery also runs The Fleece at Otley.
