Punch thrown in road rage incident after crash on M18 in Doncaster

Police say there was an altercation between two drivers on the hard shoulder when one man threw a punch at the other driver during the incident at around 10am on Monday.

It was reported that a red Mazda 6 MPS and a black and silver Kia Sorento were travelling along the M18 motorway from junction two at Warmsworth, towards junction one.

The vehicles were reportedly involved in a minor collision and pulled over to the hard shoulder between junctions two and one.

The drivers got out of their vehicles and an altercation followed, where it is alleged that the driver of the Sorento threw a punch towards the driver of the Mazda.

It is understood that the Sorento sustained some damage as a result of the incident. South Yorkshire Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the altercation on the hard shoulder.
