A buffet dinner will take place at the end of each evening and an award will be presented to the winning play selected by the judges on the closing night.

Tickets for each night cost £6 for adults and £3 for concessions, while a festival pass for all three days costs £15 or £6.

For further details, or to buy tickets, call the Lamproom Theatre box office on 01226 200075.

Among the plays being shown is a short version of Hamlet, which will be tackled by children from Hoyland Common Primary School. Teacher Glyn Robinson said it was “amazing” for the children to experience Shakespeare at such a young age.
