Pupils go to Paris for Tour ceremony
yorkshire will be strongly represented when the route of next year’s Tour de France is announced in Paris today.
Details of the 21 stages, which start in Leeds next July, are to be revealed this morning at the Palais des Congrès.
More than 4,000 people are expected, including a delegation from Yorkshire and pupils from Carr Manor Community School Specialist Sport College in Leeds.
Leeds Council leader Keith Wakefield tweeted: “Heading to Paris for #TDF route announcement. Fantastic that Leeds school pupils coming too to share their enthusiasm.”
