Puppets to bring enchanted wood to life in Hebden Bridge
AN ENCHANTED wood will descend on Hebden Bridge today as the fifth annual Handmade Parade makes its way through the town.
A white stag, winter goddess and a leaf dragon will be among the awe-inspiring giant puppets in this year’s procession, as well as woodland warriors, wolves on wheels and dancing bluebells.
They will be flanked by a street band, samba drummers, stilt walkers and Capoeira dancers as the spectacle unfolds along Victoria Road, Valley Road and Bridge Gate from 2pm, finishing in Calder Holmes Park, where there will be a show-stopping finale and festival featuring local food and produce from 3pm to 6pm.
