Push comes to shove as Princes kick off

Passions ran high when the royal brothers took to the field with a group of teenagers from an orphanage in the impoverished southern African country of Lesotho.

Before the game began, Harry announced his intentions, saying: "I'm really looking forward to slide-tackling William."

The Princes, who will be in Cape Town to watch England's crucial World Cup match against Algeria today, were on opposing teams yesterday.

Their fellow players were all teenage girls from the Semongkong Children's Centre, in the mountain region of Lesotho, so they saved the rough stuff for each other. William, 27, an avid Aston Villa fan, was dressed in claret and blue while Harry, 25, an Arsenal supporter, and his team wore red.

There was no love lost between the siblings in one crunching tackle and later, as they waited for a corner to be taken, the Princes started some off-the-ball pushing, shoving and shirt-pulling, which ended up with William tumbling over.

Harry's team won 1-0 with a goal by 16-year-old Agnes Fobo.
