Quest to home a three-legged hedgehog

THREE-LEGGED hedgehog Pandora is proving to be quite a prickly customer.

The less than cuddly animal was found in the road in Chapel Allerton in Leeds on October 30 and has since been cared for by the Selby Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation charity, where staff believe she was being cared for in the area as she would have died due to her missing limb.

The charity’s founder, Annette Pyrah, said: “It would be difficult for her to survive in the wild. Hedgehogs are in sharp decline so if we can get this one back to her home and the habitat that she’s used to, we will be doing our bit.”

Anyone who has information about Pandora’s owner or who can give the hedgehog a home can call Ms Pyrah on 07803 180 720. For more details on the charity, visit www.selbywildlife.co.uk.
