Race hate attack on teenager and man in Rotherham

A boy aged 15 and a 20-year-old man were verbally abused and assaulted outside the Asda supermarket in Aldwarke Lane at around 11.30pm last night.

Both attack victims suffered minor head injuries.

An investigation is underway and in its early stages, but officers are treating the incident as a hate crime.

There is an increased police presence in the area to provide reassurance and officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the incident.
