Raheem Wilks latest: Two more arrests as second murder accused in court

A man was arrested by armed police yesterday in connection with the fatal shooting of Raheem Wilks.

The 30-year-old man was arrested at address in Hunslet and is being questioned by detectives on suspicion of murder.

He is the fourth man to be arrested on suspicion of killing 19-year-old Mr Wilks, who was shot in Harehills on January 26.

A 31-year-old woman was also arrested at the same address in Hunslet on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Police said today that both of those arrested yesterday remained in custody. 

It means 12 people have now been questioned in connection with the murder, including two people who have been charged.

Jaydn Manners, 23, of Louis Street, Chapeltown, appeared before Leeds Crown Court earlier today.

He was remanded into custody until March 1 when he will appear at the court alongside Keal Richards, 21, of Francis Street, Chapeltown.

Both men have been charged with murdering Mr Wilks.

Meanwhile, detectives are continuing to appeal for information from the local community about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
