Railway lines honour poet

Dr Barrie Rutter chats to Betty Mackereth after the unveiling of five slate roundels inscribed with selected lines of Philip Larkin’s poetry set into the concourse at Paragon station. They lie beneath a 7ft bronze statue of the enigmatic writer installed last year. Prof Graham Chesters, vice-chairman of the Philip Larkin Society, said they would be “unique to each passing reader”.
