Railways in line for passenger surge
Passenger numbers on Northern railways are expected to rise sharply during the next 20 years.
Figures from Network Rail, estimate that by 2029 passenger numbers in Leeds will go up by 68 per cent by 2029 while in Sheffield they will increase by 62 per cent.
