Residents given say on homes plan

RESIDENTS are to get their say on plans for new homes and sports facilities.

An exhibition will show proposals for 170 new homes around the Victor Street/Gordon Place area of Westfield Lane, South Elmsall, near Pontefract. The plans also include proposals for an artificial sports pitch, sports changing facilities and a community room.

Wakefield Council will be holding the consultation on Tuesday next week from 2.30pm until 7pm at the Social Centre, Westfield Lane, South Elmsall. Staff will be available to explain the proposals and answer queries. The exhibition will then be held in South Elmsall library from September 7 to 16.
