The workshop, which will be held between 5.30pm and 8pm at the Gumption Centre, Little Horton Lane, on August 12, will explore what people can do in their local area in the build up to the Grand Depart. Hosted by the Bradford district cycle forum ‘B-Spoke’, supported by Bradford Council, it will concentrate on the build-up to the Tour which includes a 100-day cultural festival, the days of the Tour and the legacy of the Tour.

Councillor Andrew Thornton, Bradford Council’s executive member for environment and sport, said: “This is a good time for local people to start thinking about the opportunities and the challenges of having the Grand Départ of the Tour de France on their own doorstep.”
