Retail outlook: More shops head for new mall

AnOTHER five new retailers have signed up for the new shopping centre in Wakefield that is due to open this spring.

Shoe retailers Deichmann, coffee houses Esquires and Costa, fashion accessory store Bijou Brigitte, and Clintons are the most recent names to join the stores that will be in Trinity Walk.

Developers have already said the centre will house a 96,000 sq ft Debenhams, a 117,000 sq ft Sainsbury's, fashion retailers H&M, New Look, Next, River Island, Peacocks, Topshop, Topman, Republic, JD, Bank, Dorothy Perkins, Carphone Warehouse and Orange.

Max La Frenais, of Sovereign Land, joint developer and development manager of the Trinity Walk project was enthusiastic.:

"This is a great way to start the year," he said. "We have some exciting new tenants interested in the few remaining units and will continue to push forward with lettings as we lead up to opening this spring."
