Review of jailed Taliban suspects
Afghanistan's president yesterday ordered a review of the cases of all Taliban suspects being held in Afghan prisons and said those being detained on doubtful evidence must be released.
President Hamid Karzai's decree was his first official response to a national conference, involving 1,500 delegates, held in Kabul last week on ways to end his country's nearly nine-year-old insurgency.
