Robbers target pub staff in alleyway

ROBBERS attacked three staff members from a South Yorkshire pub, leaving them requiring hospital treatment, before making off with money and mobile phones.

Police said yesterday that, at 4.15am on Saturday, September 29, two men and a woman who worked at the Turf Tavern pub on Corporation Street in Rotherham locked up the premises and walked to their car in an alleyway next to the pub.

A police spokesman said: “As they did so, it is reported that two men with bats approached them demanding money.
