Robbery victim fights off attacker

The 20-year-old woman was walking in Huddersfield Road, Ravensthorpe, Dewsbury at 2am on Sunday when a couple snatched her mobile phone and purse. An Asian man chased the thieves but then returned and tried to assault the woman.

He pushed her to the ground she fought him off and ran to a friend's house.

She described her attacker as an Asian man in his late teens or early twenties, of medium build, 5ft 6in and clean shaven. He was casually dressed and wore a dark beanie hat which covered his hair.

Three people, aged 19, 16 and 17, have so far been arrested in connection with these incidents, but police would like to hear from anyone with any information that could help in their enquiries.
