Rock thrown at Tory office

Have your say

A ROCK has been thrown at the Conservative Party’s offices in York.

Vandals hurled the rock at the property and smashed a window, police said last night, as they appealed for information about the act of criminal damage in the city.

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said the incident occurred between December 20 and December 24, at the Conservative offices in Poppleton Road.

PC Alan Collier, of York Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you witnessed the damage taking place, or can help to identify those responsible for this act of utterly pointless act of mindless vandalism, I urge you to come forward and contact the police straight away.” Call 101.
