Romanian man due in court a year after evading police over Leeds robbery
A Romanian man who escaped to Switzerland after being identified as a suspect in a Leeds street robbery is due in court today.
Constantin Adrian Marin, 30, was extradited back to the UK under a European Arrest Warrant to be charged over the incident yesterday.
West Yorkshire Police had identified him as a suspect in an incident where a 27-year-old woman was attacked on a footpath between Whitehall Road and Gotts Road in Leeds city centre on Sunday March 22 last year.
Marin is due to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court this morning.
