Royal art lesson for Sultan

The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh inspected a guard of honour at the Sultan of Oman's Al-Alam Palace in Muscat during their Gulf visit.

The Queen later tried her hand at art curating as she accompanied the Sultan around a viewing of priceless British paintings on loan from the Tate. The artworks represent British landscape painting over the past 250 years from some of the country's most famous artists including Gainsborough, Constable, Turner, Millais and Singer Sargent.

But he was most taken by a group of horses by George Stubbs.
