Princess Beatrice has become royal patron of an organisation that helped her cope with dyslexia.

The Queen’s granddaughter said she was honoured to become the figurehead of the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre in Farnham, Surrey.

Beatrice was diagnosed with dyslexia at the age of seven and received specialist help and support from the centre during her secondary education.

She said: “I would not have been able to achieve my academic results without the support I received from the centre.”
