Prince William and Kate Middleton's engagement interview is making thousands of pounds for charity.

Good causes nominated by the Prince will benefit from the funds raised by the footage being used by foreign broadcasters.

Media outlets from non-Commonwealth nations are being charged about 1,500 per minute for the interview, in which the couple talk about their relationship. The money will go to the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry, a body established last year for their charitable interests.

ITN political editor Tom Bradby interviewed the Prince and his fiancee on the day they announced their engagement last month.
