The Duchess of Cambridge is drawing attention for eye-catching appearances both before and behind the lens.
Four new photographs of Princess Charlotte, taken by her mother at their home in Norfolk, have been released to mark her first birthday today - and it comes as the Duchess herself is set to star on the front cover of British fashion magazine Vogue.
The pictures of the Princess offer fresh snapshots of how the young princess has grown up during her first 12 months.
One shows Charlotte in a pink cardigan with a white collar, worn over a soft pink floral dress - a pink clip in her hair - pushing a colourful baby walker full of alphabet blocks on the lawn outside.
In another, she sits on the floor at home gazing at the camera with big blue eyes.
Another portrays her leaning on a wooden chair and a final image shows her clambering on a wicker chair, playfully glancing back towards the camera.
A spokeswoman for William and Kate said: “The Duke and Duchess are very happy to be able to share these important family moments and hope that everyone enjoys these lovely photos as much as they do.”
Meanwhile, the Duchess has been in front of the camera for two new portrait photographs which have gone on display as part of the ‘Vogue 100: A Century Of Style’ exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London.
Kate is shown looking casual and relaxed in the pictures, taken in the Norfolk countryside earlier this year.
The photos were shot by Josh Olins and were styled by British Vogue fashion director Lucinda Chambers. A colour image of the Duchess in a brown Burberry coat and fedora will adorn the cover of the magazine’s June centenary issue.
