RSPCA to open charity shop in village

THE RSPCA is to open what it says is the first charity shop in Ripponden, near Halifax.

The shop, on Halifax Road, will stock an array of clothes and accessories for men, women and children of all ages, including designer names, plus books, pictures, jewellery and household items.

It will open its doors at 11am on Thursday.

Diane Whitehead, retail co-ordinator for the branch, said: "We are looking forward to opening this shop, it already has a great feeling about it. During our preparation we have been welcomed into the local community and had lots of people calling in expressing their support."

Anyone who donates or purchases items from any of our shops can be absolutely certain that all profits go directly to care for animals in great need."

Anyone who can donate items of good quality clothing, accessories, books, small household items should contact Joanne Scott on 01422 820509.
