Rucksack fire in York deliberate
Firefighters were called out after a rucksack was left in a block of flats and set on fire.
The incident happened on the second floor of a three-storey block of flats on Lowther Street last night.
A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was out on arrival, adding they were treating it as a deliberate ignition.

Hide AdIn another, unrelated incident, crews from York were called out after a camper van was set on fire on Newton Terrace, at about 9pm yesterday. A spokeswoman said they believed the van was set on fire on purpose.
