Rudolph and co beware

A ROVING Father Christmas has been scooting around Sherwood Pines Forest Park on a Segway to help deliver fresh Christmas trees to the beauty spot.

And from next spring, visitors to the 3,000-acre forest park will be able to hire the Segways for woodland safaris.

Forestry Commission recreation manager Chris Bray said: “The Go Ape guys kindly offered to help us move Christmas trees around the sales area, getting into the mood by dressing up as Santa Claus.”

Segways are a brilliant way of exploring the forest and this is certain to be a terrific new attraction next year.”
