Safety warning for harvest workers
Farming is officially the country's most dangerous industry and harvest time the time of year when many accidents occur.
FarmWeb, the network of agricultural insurance brokers, has issued a list of "hints for harvest safety" after new Health and Safety Executive figures showed that a total of 38 people died on UK farms last year.

Hide AdIt said that casual staff must be properly briefed and fire extinguishers kept in vehicles and people are aware of laws on movement of harvest vehicles on public roads.
FarmWeb's chief executive Elaine Simons said: "The increase is truly shocking and often it's a case of simply being in too much of a hurry."
