Satirist Bremner takes to stage

Impressionist Rory Bremner is making his theatrical debut playing a butler in a revival of Noel Coward’s Relative Values alongside Caroline Quentin and Patricia Hodge.

The comic will appear in the play, directed by Sir Trevor Nunn, at the Theatre Royal in Bath in June.

The play, set in the 1950s, is about the culture clash between the world of Hollywood film stars and the English aristocracy.

Edinburgh-born Bremner provided voices for some of the
puppets on Spitting Image early in his career, before moving to Channel 4 and teaming up with satire veterans John Bird and John Fortune in Bremner, Bird And Fortune.
