The council’s health inequalities scrutiny panel is investigating why this sometimes makes people feel isolated and what can be done to help them actively participate in community life and activities.

The panel is focusing its work around four key themes – housing, transport, leisure and loneliness/fear.

It is now gathering evidence from people with learning disabilities, as well as their families and carers, and from professionals.

Anyone who would like to get involved can contact the scrutiny panel before February 5, by calling them on 01484 221916 or by emailing them on scrutiny. [email protected].
