Sean is set to make a splash with water-saving messages

IT MAY have been a bit damp outside of late but one seven-year-old boy has been selected to help spread the word about how to save water.

Sean O’Brien, seven, of Pudsey, Leeds, has been selected by Yorkshire Water to pass on simple all-weather water-saving tips.

He will appear at the beginning and end of ITV Yorkshire weather bulletins, which Yorkshire Water, is sponsoring, over the next three months, showing how people can help conserve water.

His mother, Sarah O’Brien, said: “He had lots of fun doing the Yorkshire Water advert and he can’t wait to do more. He loves it.”

Sean, a pupil at Southroyd Primary School, has filmed a number of scenes including washing his dog, taking a bath with more soapsuds than water and painting pictures while using water sparingly,

He started learning dance and drama at the age of three at the Centre Stage performing arts academy in Rawdon, Leeds.

The seven-year-old is already a veteran of acting, having already starred in his first feature, a short film called Willpower. He is a great fan of the Star Wars and Harry Potter series and in the future would love to be a film star, preferably in a sci-fi role.

A spokeswoman for Yorkshire Water said the campaign was an opportunity to engage on the issue of water conservation.
