Search on for missing Leeds lottery winner

A lucky EuroMillions lottery ticket holder has scooped a prize of almost £209,000 – but may not know it.

The winning ticket was bought in Leeds and matched five main numbers and one lucky star to the draw on Friday December 20, bagging its owner a prize of £208,839.80.

But the ticket holder – whose numbers were 12, 13, 17, 22, 43 with lucky star numbers of 3 and 10 – is yet to make their claim.

The prize is available to the winner until Wednesday June 18.

However if no-one comes forward to claim the prize with their winning ticket before the claim deadline, the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to the National Lottery Good Causes.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings – this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life, and what a start to 2014 it would be.

“We are urging everyone who may have bought a EuroMillions ticket in this area to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding.

“Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa – someone out there could literally be sitting on a fortune.

“We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win.”

Anyone who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
