When the scheme was first launched in Sheffield last year more than a third of licensed premises in the city centre signed up.

Jo Daykin-Goodall, director of substance misuse strategy for Sheffield, said: "We are hopeful that all entrants will apply for re-accreditation this year. We would like to encourage all those who didn't enter in 2009 to get involved this year."
