Security man freed from Afghan jail flies home

Freed former Army officer Bill Shaw, is greeted at London's Heathrow Airport yesterday by his his wife Liz and three children, Lewis, Lisa Luckyn-Malone and Craig.

Mr Shaw, from Leeds, spoke of his joy at being back on British soil following his release from an Afghan jail after he was cleared of bribery.

The 52-year-old, who was working in Afghanistan for British security firm G4S, was jailed for two years in March and fined 16,000 after being found guilty of bribing officials.

But he was acquitted earlier this month following an appeal in the Afghan capital Kabul and recently returned to the UK.

Speaking on GMTV, he said: "It feels absolutely fantastic to be back on British soil at long last."
